My kids love crispy air fryer homemade potato chips. Today, I grabbed the canned sliced potatoes from my kitchen pantry instead of slicing the fresh potato. They are already pre-cut pieces and make it much easier and quicker for me to prepare a meal. Plus there’s no need to soak the potatoes. My kids enjoy their buttery flavor.

What are Canned Potatoes and where can I find them?
Canned potatoes have become a useful pantry staple in our household. I love that potatoes have already been peeled, cooked, and canned in a liquid such as broth or water.
You can find them in the canned goods aisle of most grocery stores. I love how they require minimal preparation and can help reduce mealtime prep time while keeping your kitchen work to a minimum.
Air-frying tip: What Oils are best to use in the air fryer?
When using an air fryer for your cooking, the best oils to use are ones with a high smoke point. Examples of these include avocado oil and extra virgin olive oil. Avocado oil has a high smoke point (450°F to 520°F / 230°C to 270°C) which means that it can withstand high temperatures in the fryer without burning or smoking. Extra Virgin Olive Oil also has a high smoke point (350F-410F / 177C-210C), although it may have a stronger flavor than some of the lighter oils that would work well in an air fryer. It is important to use oils with a high smoke point so as to not cause excessive smoking or burning while cooking - this could potentially damage the air fryer.
