Air Fryer Buffalo chicken wings are a game-changer. After making at least 100+ batches in the air fryer, I don't think that chicken wings can get any better than cooking them in the air fryer. Nothing beats the crispiness you get from cooking them this way and the best part, is they have way less fat! Using the air fryer is the best way to cook and they are even healthier! Yum!
These chicken wings are smothered to perfection in a slightly spicy buffalo sauce that has just the right amount of heat. These buffalo wings are the best choice when it comes to your day! Don’t forget blue cheese dip! Yum! Here's the recipe for an amazingly rich, creamy, chunky homemade blue cheese dressing dip. I used Roquefort cheese as a base because it is made from sheep's milk and I feel that it is creamier with a smooth flavor.
Ingredients
10-12 chicken wings, flats and drums, about 2 pounds, rinsed and dried. They also call them wingettes.
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
Buffalo sauce
¼ cup butter
½ cup buffalo sauce. Favorite kind. I use Frank's.
Directions
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C.)
In a medium bowl, add the wings, oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, using your hands to toss
and coat completely.
Add the wings to the air fryer and cook for 10 minutes, flip, and cook for 10 minutes more. If using a sauce,
only cook for 6 minutes, then cook the remaining 2-4 minutes after the sauce has been added.
Directions for the sauce.
In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Add the buffalo sauce to the butter and stir until
combined. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring continuously until fully heated through.
Add your cooked wings to a bowl, pour the sauce over them and toss to coat. Add the wings back in the air
fryer for 2-4 minutes, then brush with the remaining sauce before serving.
