Tips for Crispy Roasted Potatoes
Even pieces - First, be sure to cut your potatoes into even pieces so that they cook evenly.
Oil - Be sure to use oil. Olive oil or avocado oil are great options. Coat all pieces evenly with oil and seasoning. Alternatively, you can use spray oil. I love using butter taste Ghee oil.
Preheat - Next, preheat your air fryer to the correct temperature before adding the potatoes.
Flip - Always flip potatoes and other food in the air fryer halfway through the cooking. Use the spatula to turn the potatoes.
Overcrowding - Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket - this will prevent the potatoes from getting crispy.
Potato size matters - I recommend cutting the potatoes into bite-sized pieces, about 1 inch. You can, however, choose to cut them smaller or larger size, just remember to adjust the cooking time accordingly to avoid dry potatoes and losing their inner fluffiness. Smaller size potatoes will cook faster. Larger pieces will take longer to cook.
How to store and reheat air-fried roasted potatoes
When storing roasted potatoes, it's best to keep them in an airtight container in the fridge. They will last for up to four days.
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F and add the potatoes. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until heated through. If you find that your potatoes are not as crispy as you'd like, you can cook them for an additional minute or two. Just be sure to keep an eye on them so they don't burn.
