11/04/20 | Air Fryer Recipes, Low Carb Recipes, What's Cooking

Stuffed Jalapeno peppers is a delicious appetizer from Mexican-American cuisine. Spicy Jalapeno peppers stuffed with cream cheese and bacon bits give the perfect combination of spicy explosion of taste in your mouth!

air fryer stuffed jalapenos recipe

Although you can bake or broil them in the oven, I Air fried my stuffed jalapeno peppers in the hot circulating air of the air fryer oven to achieve the best possible crisp of the jalapeno pepper skin. Making it beautifully wrinkly and crunchy to perfection.

The air frying takes only 8 minutes. Enjoy this delicious meal! It’s worth trying.

Air Fryer Crunchy Stuffed Jalapeno peppers

Inspiration and adaptation from Cooks well with others. I chose her recipe because it’s really simple and easy to make and the end result is out of this world Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers. Yum!

Ingredients:

8 Jalapeno peppers, medium size

7 slices of bacon

8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature

1 cup shredded cheese of choice ( I used Mexican blend)

Step by Step instructions hot to make stuffed jalapeno peppers

Step by Step directions how to make stuffed jalapeno peppers

Directions (follow the picture above for 8-steps visual instructions)

  1. Cook 7 strips of bacon in your frying pan as you normally do. You can also cook your bacon in the air fryer basket, at 390 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove the bacon and once cooled, crumble it into bite size pieces.
  2. In a separate bowl mix together cream cheese, shredded cheese and bacon bits.
  3. Wash your jalapeno peppers
  4. Slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise
  5. Scrape the seeds and white ribs off with a metal spoon.
  6. Stuff the cheese mixture into each jalapeno
  7. Place stuffed jalapenos stuffed side up in the air fryer basket.
  8. Set the air fryer to 370 degrees for 8 minutes.

Stuffed jalapenos with bacon cream cheeseRecipe notes:

  1. I recommend handling peppers with gloves or else your hands and fingers may feel burning sensation. They also call it “Jalapeno Hands”.
  2. You can play with stuffing as you like. I also suggest to add crumbled sausage instead of bacon, if you like. Delicious! I tried many varieties of stuffing. I once added a bit of pecans (or walnuts) with dried cranberries. This adds crunch and a bit of sweet flavor to spicy and savory Jalapeno poppers. Triple flavor explosion in your mouth!
  3. The prepared Jalapeno peppers are not as spicy as you think they would be. In my opinion, they are mildly spicy. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would describe the spice level as 4.

These stuffed jalapenos are amazing for parties! Enjoy more easy and delicious air-fryer recipes.
