Lamb is my favorite type of meat. I love how these air fryer lamb chops turn out perfectly tender and juicy with the right amount of crispiness.
Air-Fried Lamb Chops
The key to making perfect, flavorful, and juicy air fryer lamb chops is to start with high-quality meat that has been trimmed out of excess fat. Season the chops with your favorite spices, and then air fry them at a high temperature until they are cooked through. This helps to seal in the juices and flavors of the meat.
How to Cook Lamb Loin Chops in the Air Fryer
Marinate: The first thing you need to do is marinate the lamb chops. I like to use a simple marinade of olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs. But, you can really use any marinade you like. Just make sure to let the lamb chops sit in the marinade for at least 20 minutes so that they can absorb all of the flavors.
Air fry: After the lamb chops have finished marinating, it's time to cook them in the air fryer! Simply preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and then cook the lamb chops for 8-10 minutes. That's it! You'll have delicious and healthy lamb chops that are ready in no time at all!
Ingredients
- 1 pound lamb chops (about 6 chops)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Directions
1. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. While the air fryer is preheating, season your lamb chops with salt, pepper, and your favorite herbs or spices.
2. Place the lamb chops in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes. Flip halfway.
3. After 10 minutes, remove the basket from the air fryer and check to see if the chops are cooked to your liking. If not, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
4. Once cooked, remove from the basket and serve immediately with your favorite sides. Enjoy!
Serving Suggestions
Risotto: Risotto is a classic Italian dish made with Arborio rice, broth, and Parmesan cheese. It's creamy and indulgent, making it the perfect pairing for rich lamb chops.
Mashed potatoes: Mashed potatoes are another great option for Lambchops. They're hearty and satisfying, but can also be lightened up with the addition of Greek yogurt or low-fat milk. Plus, they're versatile - you can add in whatever herbs or spices you like to make them truly your own!
Green salad: A green salad is a perfect way to balance out a heavy dish like lamb chops. The acidity of the dressing will also help cut through the richness of the meat. Plus, it's always nice to have a pop of color on your plate!
Roasted vegetables: Roasted vegetables are healthy, flavorful, and easy to prepare. We recommend roasting them in the air fryer with a bit of olive oil and sea salt for maximum flavor. Then, simply top them with freshly-chopped herbs before serving.
How to Store Lamb Chops so that they're Still Delicious When You Reheat Them
Wrap them tightly in foil or plastic wrap. This will help to keep the flavor in and prevent them from drying out.
Put them in a covered container or zip-top bag before refrigerating. This will help to keep them fresh for longer.
When reheating, be sure to add a little bit of moisture, such as water or broth, so that they don't dry out.
Reheat them in the air fryer at 380F/190C 2 minutes per side.
Don't reheat more than once. Reheating multiple times can make the meat tough and dry.
