These two ingredients Air Fryer Peanut butter cookies are soft, chewy and delicious. The best part? They are made in the air fryer in minutes. And this easy dessert is gluten-free, dairy-free, and keto-friendly.

Who knew peanut butter cookies could be made in an air fryer? Well, now you do! Air fryer peanut butter cookies are the perfect combination of crispy and chewy. The air fryer does an amazing job of creating a perfectly golden exterior, while the interior remains soft and gooey. These cookies are a healthier option than traditional peanut butter cookies as they require no oil, but still pack the same delicious punch.

So, whether you have a peanut butter craving or need a healthy snack for your kids, these cookies are perfect. Also try these 5-Ingredient Peanut butter Muffins.

Easy Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe in the Air Fryer

Start with the right peanut butter - To make these cookies, you'll need a natural peanut butter that doesn't contain added sugars or oils. Read the nutrition label on the jar where it should say that the ingredients are peanuts only. The oil in the peanut butter will create a moist texture, allowing the cookies to bake well. Mix the peanut butter using a fork or whisk.

Please refer to the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients, instructions and nutrition info.

Add the egg - Once you have your peanut butter ready, add one egg and mix it well until a thick dough forms. The egg acts as a binder and provides moisture to the mixture. It also helps to create a silky texture that makes the cookies soft and chewy.

Shapes and sizes - The great thing about these cookies is that the recipe is versatile. You can shape them any way you like. I roll the dough into balls and then flatten them with a fork to get those classic peanut butter cookie lines. The cookies will not spread much, so make sure to flatten them before baking. Place them on the air fryer tray (or basket) lined with parchment paper and pop them in the air fryer, preheated at 350F, for 6 minutes, flipping them halfway.

Time to indulge - Once you take the cookies out of the air fryer, let them cool for a few minutes before devouring them. The cookies will be soft and chewy, but if you want a firmer texture, refrigerate them for a while. Store them in an airtight container for up to a week.

Variations and Add-ons

These Air-fried Peanut butter cookies are great on their own, but if you want to mix things up, you can use the basic recipe as a foundation and add in different optional toppings.

Chocolate chips, chopped nuts, sea salt, or even a drizzle of caramel sauce can take these cookies to the next level.

Add a dollop of jelly on top of cookie and you are instantly in peanut butter jelly heaven; without the bread.

Semolina: While it’s completely optional, I like to add a tablespoon for an extra crunch and a nutty taste. Semolina, a coarse flour made from durum wheat, gives peanut butter cookies a slightly crispy and chewy texture. it can help accentuate the nutty flavor while also creating a satisfying crunch.

Should I add Sugar to Peanut Butter Cookies?

To me, the natural sweetness of the peanut butter is enough, while others believe that a little extra sugar can take the cookies to the next level. Ultimately, the decision is up to you and your taste preferences.

Do you crave a sweeter peanut butter cookie? Then add ½ cup of sugar to this recipe. Experiment with different amounts of sugar until you find the perfect balance to satisfy your sweet tooth.

To keep the cookies low carb and keto friendly, you can use the Monk Fruit sweetener.

These peanut butter cookies are perfect for those who want something easy, delicious, and healthy. With only two ingredients, you can create a treat that everyone will love. They're gluten-free, dairy-free, and keto-friendly, making them a great snack for a variety of dietary restrictions. The best part is that the recipe is customizable, so feel free to experiment with your favorite toppings.

If you don't add flour or sweetener do you still cook 6 minutes?

Hi Wendy. Yes. I suggest checking them at 4 minutes. Since all air fryers may cook differently
