Air Fryer Strawberries are an easy, nutritious, and delicious way to enjoy all the benefits of fruit. They are remarkably healthy and economical to make. It only has ONE ingredient and contains no added sugar or preservatives. I love that air fryer dehydrated strawberries have a long shelf life, and can be easily made at home.

  • 1 pack fresh strawberries choose organic if possible

  • Prep the strawberries.
    Wash the fruit thoroughly. Once you've cleaned them, remove the stems, and cut any bruised spots. Pat strawberries dry with paper towels.

  • Slice the strawberries into uniform thickness - about ⅛ inch is perfect for this recipe. Arrange the slices in a single layer on your air fryer basket. They can touch each other, but ensure they don't overlap.

  • Air Fry the Strawberries (Dehydrate)
    Set your air fryer to a temperature of 135°F (57°C), dehydrate mode. Cook the strawberries for about 5-6 hours, or until they are dry, with crispy edges and slightly chewy. See notes below on how to dry strawberries in a shorter time.

  • How to store.
    Once your air fryer strawberries are ready, place the strawberry slices in an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place for up to six months. Avoid storing them in the fridge since that can cause moisture build-up and affect their crispiness.

Notes

Dehydrate strawberries in 2 hours.

I have experimented with different times and temperatures while playing with my strawberries. If you set your air fryer to a slightly higher temperature (dehydrate mode), 180°F - 200°F, the cooking time is around 2 hours until they are dry, crispy, and chewy. Be sure to check on strawberries after 1 hour and flip each slice for the best result.
