Eliminate Your Fears And Doubts About Making a Perfect Cappuccino at Home

11/13/15 | Entertainment, In My Kitchen, Reviews, TECH, What's Cooking

Did you know that Americans on average spend around $1000 dollars each per year on coffee?  This statistic refers to coffee purchased for consumption outside of the house.  This is an average of around $14 dollars per week for each individual.  This tends to get pretty expensive when you look at it from an annual perspective.

So everyday I see coffee drinkers waiting online in their favorite coffee house just to pay a their hard earned money for coffee that is mediocre at best.  You are basically paying for someone else to run hot water through a machine and then over coffee grounds and put it in a cup for you.

I always wondered if there was a more economical way for people to make an excellent cup of coffee at home. In reality I guess people can use one of those auto-drip machines but those are a bit of a pain.  You have to put in the paper filter, measure out the water and coffee and wait for it to brew.  By the time it is done your left with coffee that is so-so and you end up thinking why bother.

make an excellent cup of coffee at home

So here we are back at the dilemma of how to get great coffee at home without spending thousands of dollars on an expensive home barista machine.  I may have found the answer.  I was recently introduced to the Ninja coffee bar. While I did receive a complimentary coffee tasting and a complimentary sample, All opinions are mine.

Yes the makers of those Ninja blenders and other products have created a coffee machine like no other.  Now I have to admit at first I was pretty skeptical.  I kept thinking to myself, “Oh, its just another coffee machine.”  You know one of those appliances that end up taking space on your kitchen counter.  If the Ninja Coffee Bar was going to pass the test it had to do three things.  One it had to make coffee easily and quickly.  Two it had to be easy to clean up and three it had to make excellent coffee.

After taking my new Ninja Coffee bar out of the box I went over the setup guide.  It recommended running water through the machine several times before using.  After this I read the instructions on how to brew a pot of coffee.  To my pleasant surprise there was a setting on the machine that allows you to brew individual cups.  The setup is easy.  You fill the clear water reservoir up, measure out ground coffee with the included measuring scoop, put your mug on the flip down holder, turn the knob to single cup and select your brew type.  Within a minute or so you have a piping hot cup of fresh coffee.

I have to say my first cup of coffee with the Ninja Coffee bar was excellent.  It was the perfect temperature and had excellent flavor.  I am not sure if it was the best cup of coffee I have ever had. But, I can say it was the best cup of coffee that I’ve had in a long time.  Okay so the Ninja Coffee bar is easy to set up and run, and the coffee tastes great.  What about the clean up?  Well that was easy peazey lemon squeezey.  Since there are no paper filters involved all you have to do is dump the coffee grounds, rinse out the brew basket and then clean your coffee mug when your done. By the way in case you didn’t know coffee grounds are great for your compost pile.  So we are talking 3-5 minutes of time every morning to make a cup of coffee in the comfort of your own home.  You can’t beat that.  I have to say I’m not going to miss standing in line at you know where every morning on my way to work.  Thanks to Ninja Coffee bar I will have more money in my pocket and great tasting coffee in my mug every morning whether iced, specialty or regular coffee!

The Ninja Coffee Bar will make a GREAT gift this holiday season! It is currently sold at major retailers like Target, Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond and so on.  It comes with over 100 Specialty coffee recipe book.
