There’s nothing like a great tasting food made easy and in minutes. So I was excited when I was invited to attend the Techlicious media event to Panasonic USA headquarters in New Jersey and to see Panasonic’s new home appliance products in action and demonstration all the ways they can make cooking at home easier, healthier and in minutes.
While I was invited to this event as media and received a luxury limo service to and from the headquarters and received a Panasonic appliance for the review purpose, all views expressed are always 100% my own.
So it took about an hour and a half to drive from Queens to Newark, NJ because of an awful mid morning traffic on Long Island expressway and in Midtown Manhattan. But once we went got to the Holland Tunnel, it was a smooth 20 minutes ride and the cab driver delivered me safe and smooth to Panasonic USA Headquarters.
There a small group of bloggers and myself were greeted by Suzanne of Techlicious and Chris and Dan from Panasonic Public Relations.
Before we proceeded to cooking appliances demonstration, they gave us a quick tour of Panasonic innovation center which reminded me like as if I was in Panasonic museum. They had their old gadgets on display such as ancient Panasonic cameras and light bulbs from last century, as well as modern stuff like their 70K sound system, the Nike video display with 3D mapping technology, 4K Helmet camera and more. You can see all photos from Panasonic Innovation center in my Google + photo album.
Then we were greeted by Panasonic’s Chef Kenneth who first demonstrated the cooking appliances such as Panasonic High Power Blender, Panasonic FlashExpress Toaster oven, Panasonic Cyclonic Microwave oven with Inverter Technology and more in action. He prepared multiple yumminess for us, but I will share my top 3 picks.
1. Pesto pizza
I’m in love with pesto pizza and even more in love how quick and easy it was to make.
He basically put 1 and 1/2 cups packed fresh basil leaves in high-power blender. Added 1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, added 1/3 cup of olive oil, half tsp salt, 2tbsp water and pureed until smooth for about 30 seconds. Then he spooned the mixture with spatula and applied it directly on ready made sourdough bread. Sprinkled mozzarella cheese and on top and put it in the FlashExpress Toaster oven. The pizza was ready from scratch to finish in about 3 minutes. See video in action
2. Herb Stuffed turkey breast

This 3 and half pound turkey breast was prepared
This 2 and 1/2 lbs. turkey breast was ready in 22 minutes using microwave cooking bag and Panasonic Cyclonic Microwave oven with Inverter Technology. Mind blow in front of my eyes! Notice how it got even brown. It was very juicy and not dry at all. Full recipe here
3. Butternut Squash Bisque
Prepared with Panasonic’s Cyclonic Microwave oven with Inverter technology and high-power blender. The soup was smooth, rich and delicious. Afropolitan mom re-created the recipe and full recipe is here
There was so much more cooking done. Healthy vegan quinoa, Holiday Dipped Strawberries, Pumpkin Chocolate cake, Frozen Mexican hot chocolate. See more Panasonic recipes and cooking tips.
