The Best Low Carb Pizza Crust - No Cauliflower involved!

  • For crust
  • 1 and half cups shredded mozzarella
  • 3 TBS cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • ⅔ cup almond meal
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • For topping
  • Pizza sauce (pasta sauce)
  • Choice of vegetables, meat, cheese, etc. (For my toppings I used sliced up hot dogs, fresh tomatoes, roasted peppers, left-over taco meat and mozzarella cheese)
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Microwave the mozzarella and cream cheese in a bowl until soft, about 35 seconds. Add egg, almond meal, oregano, and basil and blend well into a dough ball. Press into a circle shape or square shape pizza on a parchment lined baking sheet sprayed with a thin coating of olive oil or coconut oil. Sprinkle garlic salt and basil over surface of pizza crust. Poke few holes with fork to the crust from rising while baking.
  3. Bake crust in oven for 8-10 mins. Then broil (cook top) for 1-2 minutes. It should look something like this (see photo)
  4. Add your pizza sauce and toppings, pop back in oven for 4-5 more minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
